History was made on Day 2 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 as the Philippines played their first ever match at a FIFA World Cup tournament – men’s or women’s.

Unfortunately there was to be no happy ending as Switzerland prevailed 2-0 in Dunedin. Ryan Fenix was there for us to recap all the action, while we also hear from Matildas star Ellie Carpenter after her side’s 1-0 win the night previous.

Finally, Alex Bishop joins us from Auckland to preview Japan’s opening clash with Zambia.
